Henry-Frédéric Roch created Domaine Prieuré Roch in 1988 at Prémeaux-Prissey, just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Today the estate is led by Yannick Champ and his team, in the spirit Roch set out: no synthetic products in the vineyard or the cellar, fermentation with whole bunches, and no added sulphites at any stage. Roch was also co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.

The domaine farms about 20 hectares spread across Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Ladoix and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Its rarest holdings are three monopoles, vineyards owned outright: the Clos des Corvées in Nuits-Saint-Georges (5 hectares), the Clos des Varoilles in Gevrey-Chambertin (6 hectares) and the tiny Clos Goillotte in Vosne-Romanée (0.55 hectare), once a vineyard of the Prince de Conti. The Clos Goillotte had not been worked as a separate vineyard until Roch took it on in 1988. At the top of the range sits Chambertin-Clos de Bèze grand cru, alongside the Nuits-Saint-Georges premier cru Clos des Corvées and the Vosne-Romanée Clos Goillotte that form the heart of the selection above.
