Henri Jayer's vineyard has stayed in the family, and Emmanuel Rouget makes his wines next door to Vosne-Romanée, in Flagey-Échezeaux. The grapes are destemmed, and the lighter wines are neither over-extracted nor heavily oaked.

Vosne-Romanée
Vosne-Romanée is the village of the Côte de Nuits whose slope carries six grands crus, Romanée-Conti and La Tâche among them. Its village appellation and 14 premiers crus lie above and below those crus, on the communes of Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Échezeaux, and make red wine only, from Pinot Noir.
