André and Mireille Tissot started the domaine at Montigny-lès-Arsures, a commune next to Arbois, in 1962. Their son Stéphane took over the vines in 1990 and runs the estate with his wife Bénédicte. Under their direction the domaine moved to organic farming in 1999 and then to biodynamic practice from 2004, earning Demeter certification.

The estate covers about 35 hectares, split between the Arbois and Côtes du Jura appellations, with named parcels such as Les Bruyères, La Mailloche, En Barberon and Curon. The vines are farmed biodynamically under Demeter certification, without chemical products, and fermentation in the cellar relies on natural yeasts with reduced sulfur use. The grapes include Chardonnay, Savagnin and Trousseau, and the domaine bottles some thirty separate cuvées, often by individual parcel.
