Red Wines

This page holds every red wine in the cellar, whatever the region. Burgundy comes first, with Pinot Noir from village to grand cru, then Bordeaux, the Rhône and a smaller group of reds from the Loire, Beaujolais, Piedmont and elsewhere.

The page is defined by colour alone, so it is the widest view of the cellar. Most of it is French, and most of the French part is Burgundy: Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, from regional Bourgogne up to the grands crus. Many of the villages on this page have a page of their own: Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Volnay and Pommard.

Bordeaux is the second group, with Cabernet Sauvignon on the left bank, in Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Saint-Estèphe, and Merlot on the right bank, in Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. The Rhône brings Syrah from the north, Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage and Cornas, and Grenache blends from the south around Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Producers with their own page include Château Margaux, the first growth of the Margaux appellation, Domaine Michel Lafarge in Volnay, Domaine Dugat-Py at Gevrey-Chambertin and Emmanuel Reynaud for Château Rayas and its sister estates.

The wines above are all the reds. To narrow the list, use the region pages, or see the white wines and the new arrivals.
