Recent Vintages (Last 5 Years)

This page gathers the wines from the last five vintages, the bottles that have just left the estates. Some are made to be enjoyed young; most of the Burgundy and Rhône here will gain from a few years in the cellar.

We group the cellar by the age of the vintage: recent for the last five vintages, mature from five years up to fifteen, collector from fifteen on. In 2026 this page holds the vintages 2022 to 2026, and each January the oldest of them moves on to the mature wines. Non-vintage Champagne, which has no year on the label, is left out.

A young wine is a wine in its first shape. The fruit is in front, the structure is still firm, and the character of the place is only starting to show. Village wines and regional Bourgogne, whites from the Loire and the Jura, and many Rhône reds are good to open in these years; premiers and grands crus of Burgundy, Bordeaux and the northern Rhône generally ask for more time. Buying them young is also the surest way to follow a wine as it ages, and to have it when it is ready.

Most of these bottles come to us from the estates themselves when a vintage is released, which is why this page follows the new arrivals closely.

The wines above are the current selection. For wines with some age, see the mature wines and the collector wines; to follow a single year, the vintage page.
