Philippe Pacalet set up his house in Beaune in 2001. It is a négoce on a small scale: he owns no vineyard, and the growers who sell him their grapes farm them to a set of rules he lays down. The range covers some thirty climats, from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte de Beaune.

The method is the same for every wine. The grapes are picked and sorted as whole bunches, trodden by foot, and fermented on their own yeasts, with no sulphur used during the winemaking. The house describes itself as a wine craftsman with a light hand. La Revue du Vin de France notes that the wines are good to drink young and age well.

The range here shows how wide the net is: Pommard village and the premiers crus Les Charmots, Les Epenots and Les Rugiens, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny premier cru Les Sentiers, Gevrey-Chambertin premier cru Petite Chapelle, Ladoix premier cru Les Joyeuses, and the grands crus Clos de Vougeot and Corton Les Bressandes.
