Daniel Bonvalot planted the first vines of the domaine in Pernand-Vergelesses in 1976, growing grapes on a single hectare. His son Jonathan took over the property in 2011 and set about expanding it, buying and renting parcels across several appellations of the northern Côte de Beaune.

The domaine covers about 3.4 hectares, including a 0.43-hectare parcel of the Pernand-Vergelesses premier cru Sous Frétille, planted on the yellow and brownish marl of a wooded hillside that rises to 385 metres above the village. The estate also farms Savigny-lès-Beaune, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune and a parcel of the Corton-Charlemagne grand cru, on the northern edge of the Corton hill. The white wines are aged in oak barrels before bottling at the domaine, in Pernand-Vergelesses.
