Domaine Gérard Schueller et Fils is based in Husseren-les-Châteaux, one of the villages on the Alsace wine route south of Colmar, at the foot of the Trois Châteaux ruins. Gérard Schueller and his son Bruno share the vineyard and cellar work. The domaine is certified Demeter for biodynamic farming and AB for organic agriculture, and also belongs to the Biodyvin and Nature et Progrès associations.

The estate farms around six hectares in and around Husseren-les-Châteaux and Eguisheim, on clay-limestone and marl-limestone soils, planted to Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner and Pinot Noir. Yields are kept low and the vines are worked with attention to soil life. Grapes are picked by hand, and fermentation relies on indigenous yeasts. Wines age in tank or in large old wooden foudres, and most cuvées are bottled without fining or filtration, with little or no added sulfite.
