Domaine Duroché was founded in Gevrey-Chambertin in 1906, when Louis Duroché registered as a vigneron and acquired the estate's first vineyard parcels. The domaine passed down through Émile and then Philippe, who worked alongside his wife Odile and expanded the holdings to 5 hectares. Their son Gilles took the estate to 8.5 hectares before his own son Pierre took over in 2003, at age 21, together with his wife Marianne.

The estate now farms 8.5 hectares entirely within Gevrey-Chambertin, including four grand crus: Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Latricières-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin, alongside premier crus Lavaut Saint-Jacques, Estournelles Saint-Jacques and Les Champeaux. Vineyard work follows what the domaine calls an ultra-reasoned approach: no insecticides or herbicides, treatments limited to copper and sulfur, and rainwater collection to reduce the estate's footprint. In the cellar, extractions are moderate, no sulfur is added during fermentation, and the wines age twelve months in barrel with little new oak and no racking before blending and bottling.
