The property in Chambolle-Musigny goes back to 1450, when Jean Moisson built the original house on the site. In 1766, Catherine Bouhier married Cerice-Melchior de Vogüé, and the estate passed into the de Vogüé family. The family kept the property through the French Revolution, while living in exile in England. Comte Georges de Vogüé took charge of the domaine in 1925. The estate is now run by the 20th generation, Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé.

The domaine holds 7.25 hectares of Musigny grand cru, 2.75 hectares of Bonnes-Mares grand cru, and 1.8 hectares of premier cru in Chambolle-Musigny. Pinot noir is planted across these parcels. The domaine also bottles a small production of white wine from Musigny, labeled Musigny Blanc Grand Cru.
