Léon Coche founded the domaine in the 1920s in Meursault, buying vineyard plots and selling part of the grapes to local négociants. His son Georges took over his share in 1964 and expanded the estate's holdings. Jean-François Coche succeeded his father Georges on his retirement in 1973, and added the surname Dury, his wife's maiden name, to the estate. Raphaël Coche, Jean-François's son, joined the domaine full time in 1999 after studying viticulture and oenology, and took over the winemaking in 2010.

The domaine farms about 9 hectares planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté. White wine holdings include a parcel of Corton-Charlemagne grand cru acquired in 1986 and doubled in 2012, together with premier cru plots in Meursault (Perrières, Caillerets, Genevrières) and village land in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Red wines come from Auxey-Duresses and Monthelie, and from a Volnay premier cru split since 1999 into separate Clos des Chênes and Taillepieds bottlings.
