Producer signature

Domaine Ponsot was founded in 1872 and is based in Morey-Saint-Denis, where the family has bottled its own wines since 1921. The reds are destemmed, ferment on their own yeasts in traditional vats without sulphiting, and age sixteen to twenty-four months in French oak without racking, with the malolactic fermentation in barrel. The domaine's monopole, the Clos des Monts Luisants, is a white premier cru made largely from Aligoté vines planted in 1911, a rarity in the Côte de Nuits.
