A vintage is the year the grapes were picked, and in a cellar of this depth it is the most useful way in. Weather decides what a year can give: a cool season yields tension and length, a warm one gives flesh and early charm, and a great one manages both. Two bottles from the same vineyard and the same hands can taste like different wines ten years apart.
This page gathers the whole cellar by year, from recent releases to bottles older than most of the people who drink them. Use it to follow a producer across vintages, to compare a celebrated year against the one beside it, or to find a birth year. Mature wines carry the risk and the reward of age, so the fill level and the condition of each bottle are stated on its own page.
For the years that made their reputation in the glass rather than on paper, see Legendary Vintages. To read a region first and a year second, start from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne or the Rhône Valley.
