Domaine Méo-Camuzet is based in Vosne-Romanée and has been run by Jean-Nicolas Méo since 1989; until then its vines were leased to sharecroppers, among them Henri Jayer, who passed on his winemaking to Jean-Nicolas as he retired. Since 2008 the domaine farms all its own vines, with organic methods but no certification. The grapes macerate cold for three to five days before fermenting on their own yeasts, and the wines age in barrel with a substantial but measured share of new oak. Its holdings include Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux and three Corton grands crus, and the premier cru Cros Parantoux.
