Producer signature
Domaine Emmanuel Rouget is based in Flagey-Échezeaux, next to Vosne-Romanée. Emmanuel Rouget has bottled Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux under his own label since 1989, and since the 2002 vintage he has made the wine from all the vines Henri Jayer replanted there; Jayer's vineyard remains in the Jayer and Rouget family. The grapes are destemmed and the wines are raised in barrels from several coopers; the lighter appellations are neither over-extracted nor heavily oaked, and Winehog notes how little the style of the range changes from one vintage to the next.
