Producer signature
Montrose's first vines went into a heather-covered rise facing the Gironde only forty years before the 1855 classification ranked it a second growth. Its gravel terraces by the estuary are planted mostly to Cabernet Sauvignon and give deeply tannic reds that need years in bottle.
