Domaine Bruno Colin is based in Chassagne-Montrachet and dates from the 2003 division of the family estate Michel Colin-Deléger; Bruno Colin's first vintage was 2004. Its 8.55 hectares lie in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-lès-Maranges, for nineteen appellations including eight white premiers crus of Chassagne. The soils are ploughed and farmed with organic methods, harvest is by hand, the whites ferment on their fine lees in 350-litre barrels with about 15 percent new oak and age twelve months before three to six months in tank, and the reds are 60 to 100 percent destemmed according to the year.
