The cellar is not built from a list. Wines come in a few cases at a time, from the estates when a vintage is released and from private collections when a cellar is sold, and this page is the first place they appear. A new arrival can be a young wine from the latest vintage or a bottle that has spent twenty years in someone else's cellar; the only thing the wines here have in common is that they are new to us.

Every wine, whatever its origin, is identified exactly, wine and vintage, before its page is written with the producer, the appellation and the critics' scores we hold. A wine stays among the new arrivals for a while after it comes in.
