Vougeot 1er Cru Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot 2020

Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999 by the Boisset family to bring the family's vineyard holdings under one estate, based in Prémeaux-Prissey, halfway between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. It has been farmed organically from the start, with biodynamics begun in 2001 and now applied across the whole estate, and the best plots ploughed by horse, and it owns a monopole, the Clos Blanc de Vougeot. Grapes are sorted on a long table and pressed in a vertical press, the wines ferment in wooden vats sized for each appellation and age in medium-toast barrels, and bottling follows the lunar calendar.
