Domaine Michel Lafarge is a family estate based in Volnay, about twelve hectares of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté, farmed biodynamically since 2000 and certified by Ecocert and Demeter. Frédéric Lafarge joined his father Michel in 1978 and his daughter Clothilde followed in 2018. The grapes are fully destemmed and ferment on ambient yeasts; the wines age twelve to eighteen months in barrel with at most a quarter new oak, and the reds are bottled without fining or filtration. The domaine owns one monopole, the Clos du Château des Ducs.
