Château Rayne Vigneau is a Sauternes estate on the gravel mound above Bommes, classified a first growth in 1855 and ranked just after Château d'Yquem by the broker Daney in 1867. It is planted mostly to Sémillon, picked in successive passes to gather botrytis-affected berries.
