Domaine Robert Groffier Père et Fils is based in Morey-Saint-Denis, with eight hectares of Pinot Noir in Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. It looks for concentration in the grapes rather than in the cellar, for wines meant to age.

The domaine is based in Morey-Saint-Denis, on the route des Grands Crus, but its eight hectares lie in Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, all planted with Pinot Noir. Its approach fits in a phrase from the domaine: concentration comes from the grapes, not from the cellar. Every vine is Pinot Noir, and every wine is red. Yields are low, the fruit is picked ripe and healthy, and the élevage is restrained, for wines that need time.

Since the 2014 vintage the domaine releases only half of each new vintage, holding the rest back to sell at maturity. Since 2022 its Chambolle-Musigny premier cru Les Amoureuses has been bottled by soil, Argile and Sable, alongside the blend Le Mariage.

The range here runs from the Bourgogne Pinot Noir and Passe-tout-grains and Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées to Les Amoureuses and the grands crus Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze.
