Domaine Arlaud is a family estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, founded when Joseph Arlaud married into a Burgundian winemaking family during the Second World War. His grandson Cyprien Arlaud has run the property since 1997 and moved it to organic and biodynamic methods, with organic certification in 2014.

Domaine Arlaud traces back to Joseph Arlaud, who met and married Renée Amiot, from an established Burgundian winemaking family, during the Second World War. Joseph's son Hervé Arlaud took over the domaine in 1982 and expanded its vineyard holdings in Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin. Hervé's son Cyprien Arlaud took charge of the estate in 1997.

Cyprien Arlaud moved the vineyards to organic and biodynamic methods; organic certification came in 2014. The domaine uses horses instead of tractors to plough some of its plots, avoiding soil compaction; Cyprien's sister Bertille Arlaud trains ploughing horses for estates across Burgundy. In the cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum: sulfur dioxide use is low, wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, and new oak is limited, from none for the domaine's Bourgogne-level wines to 15 to 30 percent for the premier cru and grand cru bottlings.
